Coconut Sugar Lip Scrub

Who doesn't love soft lips? I struggle with very dry lips, all. the. time. Sometimes a lip balm just doesn't cut it and you need a really good exfoliation. With this never ending winter, we all could use a bit of nourishing. This recipe can be found in different variations all over the internet and I finally decided to give it a try. I'm hooked!

What you'll need:
Coconut oil
Brown sugar
Mixing bowl

What to do:
If your coconut oil is solid, set it in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes, if it’s oily, set in fridge for 15 minutes. For this recipe it’s best for it be slightly soft, not runny.

Mix 1 tbsp coconut oil
Add 1 tbsp honey
Mix until creamy

Add 2 tbsp brown sugar
Mix well, if it’s still really oily, you can add a bit more brown sugar

If you want a more intense exfoliation, add a tsp of raw cane sugar.
Put in a sealed jar or tupperware
Spread on your lips and rub lips together or use a toothbrush for extra exfoliation.

This scrub is amazingly nourishing and tastes amazing so you can eat whatever goes in your mouth :) Keep out for up to a month or refrigerate for up to 3 months. If you want a quick little exfoliation, just add a little coconut oil and raw cane sugar together and rub on lips. Experiment yourself and find your own little concoction.
