In the Mirror: DIY hair mask

This DIY mask is for all you girls that are feeling like your locks are looking dull and dry. I'm all about trying out natural regimes because most of the time they work better, their cheaper and usually can be found in your cabinet or refrigerator. Bananas are rich in potassium, and avocados are rich in natural oils which can soften the hair. Vitamins A and C in bananas can improve hair's elasticity preventing split ends and create manageability. Coconut oil, well the real question is what doesn't it do?? :) It's great for skin, hair and health! This mask will help bring out your natural shine, make it soft, help with dandruff and can even help your hair grow!

What you'll need:

1 ripe banana
1/2 ripe avocado
1 tbsp softened coconut oil
Small jar or mixing bowl
disposable plastic cap or plastic bag

What to Do:

.Shampoo and towel dry your hair

.Mash banana and avocado together adding coconut oil last
.Mix well and scoop onto hair, saturate from scalp to ends
.Cover with plastic cap or bag, leave for 30min
.Shampoo and rinse well with warm water
.Apply conditioner
.Style and enjoy your soft subtle hair

Tips:

Use the mixture immediately after making it, bananas and avocados tend to brown quickly, you want it fresh. If you have some left over, I would just throw it out or add to compost pile... Better yet have a girlfriend over and you can do it together :)
