In the Mirror: Coffee body scrub - Summer week

We all know how cellulite can ruin a perfect swimsuit or the perfect fitting cut off jean shorts... It makes me want to scream!! Well since most of us can't afford to get the cellulite zapping treatments at a spa-this just might be a solution :) Do you drink coffee? Keep your coffee grounds next time you brew a pot, whip up this simple recipe and do your own zapping or actually scrubbing away of cellulite...

What you'll need:

I recommend using fresh coffee grounds for the best results but brewed coffee grounds can also be used.

.Raw cane sugar 2 Tbsp
.Fresh coffee grounds 1/4 cup
.Olive oil 1 Tbsp
.Vanilla extract 1/2 tsp (optional)
.Lemon oil 5-6 drops
.Small Jar

What to do:

The prep time for this should take you less than 5 minutes.

Mix together ingredients, you may have to add more sugar or grounds till its a good consistency. Refrigerate for about 20 min (optional). Jump in the shower and start scrubbing away!!  Rub vigorously in a circular motion on thighs and bottom (where cellulite is present) for a few minutes then rinse clean. This will also make your skin feel soft and smooth so it's fine to rub it all over you body for extra exfoliation.

So you may be asking yourself how does this help with my cellulite?? Well, coffee has caffeine in it and caffeine dilates blood vessels, dilated blood vessels can temporarily tighten your skin. The vigorous circular scrubbing motion will increase circulation to that area and spread everything out. Coffee also has antioxidants in it which can pull out toxins in the skin, so you have a win-win, healthy skin and less cellulite :)) The vanilla is an additive for aroma and is optional, lemon oil is for skin brightening, nourishment and aroma. Please note: that this is a temporary treatment, just rubbing some coffee on your bum once, isn't going to take away your cellulite... sorry ladies... It can be done once a week for best results. It's also a great exfoliator and can be used anywhere on the body.

This mixture is a bit messy... Actually it's very messy... A good rinsing of the shower walls is necessary after application :// However, the way your skin looks and feels is all worth it! Go show it off!

Now your skin is perfectly prepped to apply sunless tanners find my favorite here along with tips on maintaining a perfect glow throughout the summer!
